Coronation Park Toronto Engagement Session | Angela and Geoff

I am so glad to finally share images from Angela and Geoff’s Coronation Park engagement session in Toronto. Angela, Geoff, and I bonded over our love for dogs on our initial meeting one rainy fall evening a year and a half ago. Apparently, Geoff had been bugging Angela for awhile about having a dog. Angela had her reservations before she eventually caved in and found a puppy for Geoff. On Kijiji, she found a cute female puppy — half Golden retriever, quarter German Shepherd, and quarter Siberian husky — that they both liked. They later named their puppy Dakota and she’s captured their heart since then.

Because Dakota is such an important part in their lives, it was only natural for them to have her join in on their engagement session. Angela and Geoff chose Coronation Park in Toronto for their location as it was within walking distance from their condo. Coronation Park also has a neighbourhood dog park where they often take Dakota to play so we thought it would be perfect.

Right beside Coronation Park is Ontario Place where Geoff proposed to Angela. He proposed at a small dock area behind Molson Ampitheater, a private spot where the light reflected on the lake and where it felt like they were somewhere far away from the city. I can easily imagine that place to look romantic in the evening. That’s where we wrapped up their engagement session as a memento of the night they got engaged.

At the dog park, Angela and Geoff let Dakota run around for a bit while I try to photograph just the two of them together. Well, Hunter the Golden Retriever, thought the photos would look better with a dog beside them . He just plopped himself right in front of my camera and sat there for the whole thing.
