Downtown Kitchener Portrait Session | Courtney and Andrew

Andrew had always known that there’s something special about Courtney. But because of the nature of his job where he had to move from one city to another, their first go at dating each other just didn’t work out. He thought Courtney was going to be the one that got away.

Fortunately, he was wrong.

Years later in a different city, Courtney and Andrew somehow found each other again. It was as if they were at the right place, at the right time in their lives to pick up from where they had started years before. All the feelings they had for each other came  back. They were given another shot at romance. And this time, they took the chance and never looked back.

Courtney and Andrew married back in 2011 and to celebrate their three years of marriage, they’ve decided to have a portrait session done. She’s a good friend of mine and my favourite makeup artist to work with (check out her website, Peachy Keen!) so I was beyond ecstatic when she asked me to photograph them! They wanted more of an urban feel as Courtney was born and raised in Chicago so I thought taking them to Downtown Kitchener for their portrait session would  match that style. It’s not Chicago, I’ll be honest, but Downtown Kitchener has gems for photographers if you just look closely. And the lighting is great!

They also brought along their two adorable Yorkies as well because fur babies are part of the family too!  Here are a few images from their portrait session in Downtown Kitchener!
