Huron Natural Area Engagement Session | Michelle and Greg

Having an engagement session done is a great and fun way for me to get to know my couples more. For example, during Michelle and Greg’s session with me, I found out that they’ve been together since high school. It all started when Greg played a song for Michelle and asked her to dance with him. This was right after attending their school’s semi formal. He had tried to get the DJ to play this particular song for her but it just never happened. So after the semi formal, Greg found his chance. They’ve been together since then.

The song they danced to was Bryan Adam’s “I’ll Always Be Right There”. The same song is going to be their First Dance tune when they wed next year. Isn’t that sweet?

For their engagement session, I took them to my favourite scenic spot in Kitchener — Huron Natural Area. Whenever my clients in Waterloo region ask for a natural setting for their portraits, this is the spot where I take them. Huron Natural Area has six different trails, and each trail looks different from the others. And because of the ecological diversity of plants that it has, the scenery changes every month as the plants’ life cycles progress. It’s a really cool place.
