Outdoor Wedding Venue in Waterloo Region | Michelle and Greg

Engaged couples in Kitchener-Waterloo are lucky to have several options to choose from when it comes to gorgeous places to hold their weddings. One of which is Whistle Bear Golf Club, an outdoor  wedding venue in Waterloo Region. It was also the setting to Michelle and Greg’s fun-filled wedding from last summer.

I would definitely say Michelle and Greg’s wedding at the Whistle Bear Golf Course was a moment-driven wedding photographer’s dream. They were unafraid to show their emotions.  No emotions, no moments, basically. And they’ve thought of interesting things to do like Greg and his groomsmen spending their morning at Kingpin Bowling lounge. Or Greg wearing an overhead light for the garter retrieval. Also, they fully embraced the spontaneity a wedding day usually brings with cool heads. Like most weddings, they had to deal with some minor hiccups. But those didn’t affect them. All that mattered at the end of the day was that they got married…while having fun in the process.

What I like the most about Whistle Bear Golf Club as an outdoor wedding venue in Waterloo Region  in comparison to others in the area is the variety of settings they offer for photo locations within their property. They have the waterfall close to the main building to do family portraits. It’s quite convenient for your family to have it close to the building as they won’t have to walk that far back to join your other guests at cocktail hour. As for the rest of your portraits your coordinator will take you to up to four different areas to do those. You and your wedding party will have fun driving the golf carts to get to each location.

One of those locations is a wooded area which can be pretty if that’s the sort of look you’re after. Keep in mind though that the woods carry mosquitoes that start to get active in the afternoon. I highly suggest you bring an insect repellant with you if you plan on going in the woods for photos. It’s hard to look romantic and loveydovey if mosquitoes are feasting on you.
