Rockwood Conservation Area Engagement Session | Charlotte and Andrew

I’m so excited to share Charlotte and Andrew’s Rockwood Conservation Area engagement session from last summer. I know I’m pretty bad at updating my blog for the past year. I will be posting all of my weddings and engagement sessions here eventually so do not fret. I do post regularly on my Facebook Page and Instagram so check those out for my most recent work!

Charlotte and Andrew are romantics at heart. I immediately noticed that about them on our initial consult. Hearing how Andrew proposed to her confirmed that even more. That’s why I wasn’t surprised at all when they chose their locations. The old mill ruins at Rockwood Conservation Area and the classic architecture of Sun Life Financial Building in Waterloo. Andrew had always admired that building everytime he passed by. What I love about them as a couple is that they put each other at ease. That made my job so much easier. I am very much looking forward to working with them again on their wedding this September.

If you’re looking at doing a Rockwood Conservation Area engagement session as well, you’ll only have to pay entrance fee to the park and as long as there are no other events going on that day, you are free to roam the old mill area for your portraits. Don’t forget to bring insect repellents as mosquitoes feasting on you are never fun. As for Sun Life Financial Building, you’ll have to call ahead to let them know you intend on shooting there. The security guards have been really friendly so you won’t have any problem with them. The only thing you’ll have to watch out for is the ION Construction on King Street. If you’re looking at going there for your wedding photos, make sure you plan your route ahead so you don’t waste time figuring out how to get there.
