Snyder’s Flats Engagement Session | Melissa and Cory

When I asked Melissa and Cory where they would like to have their engagement session done, one of the places they mentioned was Snyder’s Flats in Bloomingdale, Ontario. They both love the outdoors and Snyder’s Flats is one of the areas in Kitchener-Waterloo that they frequently visit. The idyllic river scenery, the cute puppies you meet on the trail (it’s a popular area for dog walking). What’s not to love?

Melissa is also an accomplished wedding photographer. I know she has a great eye so I definitely looked forward to seeing Snyder’s Flats myself and photographing their engagement session. Our day started at the trail right beside Grey Silo in Waterloo. Melissa has photographed tons of weddings at the Grey Silo and she had always loved using the barn as backdrop.  After spending some time over there, we drove a short distance over to Bloomingdale for the second half of their engagement session.

Seriously speaking, one of the most fun time I’ve ever had with clients was photographing Melissa and Cory’s engagement session. They both have a great sense of humour which I absolutely love. I particularly remember one time when I got them in a cuddly pose and I asked Melissa to talk to Cory with an accent. And the accent she chose? Cookie Monster! We were literally in tears laughing. I can only wonder what other people thought we were smoking when they saw us all giggly that day.
