Heidi and Larry | Wedding Documentarian in Waterloo
The most memorable weddings for me are the ones that have the most laughs. The ones where everyone have genuine expressions that are just a joy to photograph. Why, you ask? Because each time I go through the images to cull and edit, I relive those moments and see those happy faces again. Which in turn, makes me happy. And who doesn’t want to be happy?
Choosing photos from Heidi and Larry’s wedding to blog is nothing short of a blessing for me right now because a.) the weather has been so gloomy lately it’s been bringing me down (insert sad face here) and b.) tax season just ended. Ugh. It’s the only part of owning a business that I hate doing. And when I hate something, I tend to…procrastinate.
Back to Heidi and Larry. These two who I first introduced on the blog when I featured their engagement session in Elora, are one of wittiest couple I know. And guess what? That applies to their family and friends too. Like attracts like apparently, and it made photographing their wedding absolutely fun.
I especially enjoyed listening to their speeches. How Larry’s family told the story of when he was just a young boy and they were playing hide and seek in the barn. The part where he thought he was cuddling with one of the cats, which turned out to be a skunk. How Heidi’s mom asked her older sister what she wanted to have — a baby or a puppy (Heidi’s Mom was already pregnant with her). Heidi’s sister chose a puppy. She got a baby sister instead.
Here are some images from their wedding!
