Rustic Wedding in Waterloo Region | Melissa and Cory

Have you ever been to a wedding where a groom made the bridesmaids cry? You bet I have!

In a good way of course.

(Gotya!)

Melissa and Cory’s rustic wedding in Waterloo Region was one of the most memorable weddings I have had the privilege to have shot. So many moments for me to photograph! Take for example their First Look at Melissa’s family property. Seeing them embrace each other tightly when Cory turned around to see Melissa  was genuinely sweet. Another favourite moment for me was our road trip with the rest of their wedding party to Rockwood Conservation Area. We all managed to fit in a van, and we all had a great time singing along to Mika. That was so much fun!

I also loved working with Melissa and Cory. At Rockwood, they proved how much of a bad ass they are in suffering through the horrid weather Mother Nature provided them for their wedding. They were such troopers! Can you imagine that it was cold, and it rained the previous day so the ground was muddy. And since their wedding was in May when the Canadian geese were uber protective of their goslings, we had to keep a close eye on them as well. They chased us away a few times while we were there. It was kinda scary.

Oh, and I guess you are curious how Cory made Melissa’s bridesmaids cry? During the ceremony when Melissa walked down the aisle, Cory couldn’t help crying watching his beautiful bride. The bridesmaids saw his tears, and so they followed his lead and cried as well.
