St James Park Engagement Session

Looking through Farwah and Herman’s St James Park engagement session, you would never think that we shot this early in March. In Toronto. Canada. The temperature that day was in the double digits and the sunshine helped warm us up even more. Definitely not your typical Canadian winter for sure.

The first time I met with Farwah and Herman and asked how they met, they asked me if I was familiar with Friends. Um, heck yeah! As it turned out, their story was similar to Chandler and Monica. They started out as friends, annoyed each other often, but eventually fell in love. I remember them laughing and joking to each other as they reminisced how they became a couple. That’s when they had me smitten. I love working with couples like them!

Farwah and Herman lives in Downtown Toronto and they are fortunate to live in a neighbourhood around St James Park and the Disitillery District. St James Cathedral closeby has an impressive 19th century Gothic Revival architecture. It made such a beautiful, classic and romantic backdrop for their portraits. In contrast, the Distillery District was more on the funky, artsy side that brought out their playful nature as a couple.
