Rustic Wedding in Waterloo Region | Melissa and Cory
Have you ever been to a wedding where a groom made the bridesmaids cry? You bet I have! In a good way of course. (Gotya!) Melissa and Cory’s rustic wedding in Waterloo Region was one of the most memorable weddings I have had the privilege to have shot. So many moments for me to photograph! Take for example their First Look at Melissa’s family property. Seeing them embrace each other tightly when Cory turned around to see Melissa was genuinely sweet. Another favourite moment for me was our road trip with the rest of their wedding party to Rockwood Conservation Area. We all managed to fit in a van, and…

Yorkville Engagement Session | Melanie and Chris
Chris and Melanie’s Yorkville engagement session must be one of my favourite urban portrait shoots so far. As their chosen wedding venue was going to be in a charming rural countryside, they though having their engagement session in the heart of the city would make such a great contrast. Also, Melanie and Chris met in the city while they were both engineering students at University of Toronto. So the city itself played an important part at the start of their relationship. The trick about shooting in such a busy intersection (Bloor and Avenue), is to photograph from below pointing up. That angle cleans up your background a lot, eliminating pedestrians…

RARE Conservation Area Engagement Session | April and Stephen
I have a special affinity to couples who love their dogs as much as I love mine. Dogs and their wagging tails, companionship, and undeniable unconditional love. Only fellow pet owners can appreciate that. So when I first met up with April and Stephen, who are proud humans to two adorable puppies, you can only imagine what we talked about aside details about their upcoming wedding. When I asked them where they would like to have their engagement session done, they wanted a location where they could bring their dogs along for part of their shoot. The location they chose was a trail along Blair Road that is part of the…

Wedding in Wellesley, Ontario | Abra and Kevin
As a wedding photographer, I am always wishing for my clients to have the best day possible so they could enjoy their own wedding. On the top of that wish list is 1.) No rain; and 2.) No one gets sick. Unfortunately, Abra and Kevin had the luck of the draw on the day of their wedding in Wellesley, Ontario. On their wedding day, it rained and Abra was legit sick. In fact, she had to medicate herself well with Tylenol just to get through the day. Sick as she was, Abra didn’t show it at all. She made sure she got to spend some time with each of their…

Wedding at St Michael’s College in Toronto | Farwah and Herman
Farwah and Herman’s wedding at St Michael’s College was one of the most unforgettable wedding I’ve ever photographed. From the soft pink sari that the bridesmaids wore; to Farwah’s custom made gown that has elements of both East and West; to Herman’s black tux reminiscent of James bond, theirs is as stylish as stylish weddings go. But aside how elegant their wedding was, it was the people who made Farwah and Herman’s wedding so much more memorable. Both of their families came to Toronto from different parts of the globe to join their celebration. Farwah’s family came from the United Kingdom and Pakistan, and Herman’s from Dubai. So even though…
