Listowel Golf Country Club Wedding | Jenessa and Eric’s Elegant Rustic Wedding | Listowel Wedding Photographer

You all have seen a little preview from Jenessa and Eric’s beautiful wedding in Listowel, Ontario a few months ago. I’m very honoured to have been a part of their Listowel Golf Country Club wedding  and I am thrilled to share you more of their photos.

My day started at Jenessa’s family home in Listowel. Jenessa welcomed me in and introduced me to her family and bridesmaids who were all in the process of getting their hair and makeup done.  I usually ask my brides to get their makeup done first before I arrive at the place where they are getting ready just because I want my brides’ skin to look flawless in all her photos of their day. Not that Jenessa needed help in that department. She had that ethereal glow all day.

One thing I’ll never forget was the moment Jenessa put on her wedding gown from David’s Bridal. Everyone in the room was in awe as she really made one stunning bride. The bridal bouquet from Listowel Florist completed the bridal look. Jenessa even had pins from her grandmothers incorporated in her bouquet in their honour.

At the Christian Reformed Church where their ceremony was held, the pews were lined with small bunches of Baby’s Breaths and the altar had an arch made of tree branches that Jenessa’s Dad had torn down from their backyard earlier that morning. There, Eric and his groomsmen ushered their guests in while they waited for the bride to arrive. Eric looked so handsome and happy as well.

The moment finally came when Jenessa walked down the aisle with her father at her side. There was this energy of anticipation among the guests for the bride and groom to see each other and I definitely felt that. I honestly had to fight not to cry as my eyes got a little blurry from tears that was about roll down. I was documenting a beautiful moment and I didn’t want to miss out.

After a heartfelt ceremony, I took the the wedding party at nearby walking trail by the river. It was a photographer’s dream location with gorgeous light and trees with young spring leaves that matched their wedding colours. And just a bit farther down the trail was a field of white flowers that really added to their rustic elegance theme.

For their reception at the Listowel Golf Country Club, Jenessa and Eric joined their guests as they celebrated their union. One of the most important thing to consider about choosing a venue is the food they serve and Listowel Golf Country Club surely had delicious meals to offer. Best gravy to accompany their scrumptious prime rib and creamy, fluffy, mashed potatoes. Yummy!

I had one of the most amazing time shooting Jenessa and Eric’s wedding and I couldn’t be more honoured to have shared their wedding day with them and their family.
