Welcome back, me.
It’s been…a while. I have been gone from posting anything in here. Or Instagram. Or Facebook for that matter. But it’s for a good reason, at least for my own mental health. As it turns out, I happen to enjoy…..wait for it…..gardening. Gardening! Who knew? I didn’t. But now that I’ve found myself loving it, I’m going all in. You see, I grew up in the Philippines where we only had two seasons. Summer and Monsoon. Over there, just dig a hole, plop a plant and voila! It will grow. Here in Canada, not so much. There are so many more considerations to factor. My early forays into gardening had…

Be More.
“You are already enough. Be more.” I sat by the kitchen table sipping my (2nd) morning coffee when Sue Bryce said this quote on A Portrait System podcast I happened to be listening to today. Then to my left, one of my husband’s Joel Osteen books happened to be right beside me so I slid it over and opened to the first chapter. 2021 Reading Goals #ReadHarder Challenge
It’s that time of year again. You know, when the year is almost over, and you somehow feel the urge to reflect on what you’ve achieved in your life thus far. I’m doing this right now. I mean, yes, 2020 could have been better. Understatement of the year, I agree. But there’s not much I can do about the past. All I can do is be grateful for what I have now and look forward to the future. I’m feeling ambitious this year. I have goals I want to hit by December 31, 2021, and I’m putting it all down here to let the Universe know (and the whole internet…

Book Review: The Worst Best Man by Mia Sosa
So many books to read, so little time! Who else has this first-world problem? I have the tendency to collect anything I’m obsessed with and that includes titles of books I want to read. My TBR list nowadays is quite long to the point where I probably have enough books to devour for the next few years or so. That’s when audiobooks come into the picture. As much as I wish it to be true, I don’t have the luxury to just sit down and read. This woman has gotta hustle, you know? So, whenever I’m doing chores or out on a walk by myself, I listen to audiobooks. The…

Style: 3 Looks with Black and White Prints
If you ever find me out and about — which have been pretty rare nowadays since the pandemic — I’m either wearing colourful pieces of clothing or just in my activewear. But sometimes, I do appreciate the elegance of black and white pieces. The thing with me and black and whites is that they are simple enough to style, but I find it stressful to wear in real life. At least in my life. With two husky mixes at home, I’ll have to be constantly preening myself off their fur on my darker clothes, unless the fabric is something slippery like satin. And when I wear white, I’d have to…
