1-1-11 | Personal Story | New Year’s Resolutions

So 2010 has come and gone. And with today being the first day of the new year, I thought it’s fitting to list my resolutions for all of the Internet to see for the purpose of having myself accountable if I ever fail to follow them.

So here we go…

New Year Resolutions

• Look after myself a bit better than I did last year. I’ll make it a priority to get enough sleep, eat healthy, and make my workouts more challenging.
• No more internet surfing after 10 pm. Aside from meeting deadlines, it’s one of the main reasons I don’t get enough sleep.
• Blog more. I think it’s important that if you’re hiring a photographer to document one the most important day in your life, you better be sure you like her. Having a little peek into my life will give you a sense of my personality. And whether or not I’m a good fit with you. So blogging more is what I’m going to do.
• Read more narrative literature. I’ve been reading mostly Photography and Business books in 2010. Although I enjoy learning from these, I do miss being engrossed in a book with all its character and plot complexities. I miss the escape a good book offers. So, if you have any book suggestions for me to read, let me know!
• Start purchasing things to finally decorate our house. Most of the stuff I bought last year were books and gear for my photography. And clothes from H&M. I had kinda neglected our home…but for 2011, not anymore.
• No more procrastinating. There.I’ve said. And it making it public. I better follow through it.

Things I’m looking forward to for 2011

• Shooting the weddings of my 2011 couples. I can’t wait!!!
• Meeting new people. I want to hear your stories. I want to tell your stories through photography! Contact me!
• Our Mediterranean Cruise later on this year. I’ve never been to continental Europe so I can’t wait to go!
• 5d Canon Mark III. Do you hear me Canon? Will 2011 be the year?
• Turning thirty! I’ll be thirty this year. Yeey (?)!
• Another year with my awesome hubby. He makes me happy :).

Somehow, I feel that 2011 is going to be a great year!
