Nathan Phillips Square Engagement Session | Lelia and Chris
Lelia loves Downtown Toronto where she was born and raised. At our initial meeting, she mentioned that one of her favourite pastime is to explore the city and discover new things. There’s always something interesting popping out in the city, she said. Whether it’s a new restaurant or a new shop, Toronto had never failed to disappoint.
Chris is an architect who appreciates lines and shapes. Buildings with interesting architecture. As I’ve always wanted to photograph a couple at Nathan Phillips Square, when Lelia and Chris chose an urban setting for their session, I got quite excited. Nathan Phillips Square’s lines and angles could be compositionally used a multitude of ways depending on the time of day. I thought they would be perfect for it. And I was right!
We did their engagement session in March of this year and we were lucky enough that it happened to be the first weekend of the year when it was sunny AND above -1C. Aside for playing with light and shadow which I’m totally into these days, it practically felt like summer!
