Monica and Brandon | Fall Engagement Photos
The first time I met Monica and Brandon was when I photographed Jenessa’s wedding a couple of years ago. Monica is Jenessa’s younger sister and was the Maid of Honour at Jenessa’s wedding. Even though Monica was just still in high school at the time, the way she looked after her sister on her wedding day and made everyone else she met feel welcomed gave me the impression of a young lady who’s as beautiful inside as she is in the outside.
Monica had been dating Brandon for a couple of years then and he was at the wedding as her date. I remember culling through Jenessa’s wedding and seeing a photo of the two of them on the dance floor. She was looking up to him, their arm wrapped around each other. She had a hint of a smile. It literally made me stop what I was doing and say, “aaaawww…”. They were young and in love. So adorable.
Three years later, with the help of her parents, Brandon surprised Monica by recreating their first date. There in the middle of a field surrounded by candlelights , Brandon kneeled. He took out a grey box containing a solitaire diamond ring and proposed. Monica, realizing what was happening, held his face with both hands. She bent down to kiss him. She said yes.
I am so excited to be working with Monica and her family again and also meeting Brandon’s side of the family when they tie the knot this year. For their engagement session, Monica and Brandon wanted to have Fall engagement photos so I took them to my favourite spot in Kitchener, Huron Natural Area. The bitter windchill made it’s presence known that day but you can’t really tell from these photos. They’re happy and in love. Not even Mother Nature can take that away from them.
Here are a few of their Fall engagement photos:
