Wedding At The Bellvue Manor | Danielle and Cosimo
“Normality is a paved road. It is comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it.” — Vincent Van Gogh I admit. For wedding photographers, sometimes it’s better to just go with the least complicated plan to get through portrait sessions at weddings. Find a shaded area, preferably in a quiet spot, away from people other than the wedding party. Easier to compose without having to worry about cloning random heads sticking out in the bushes in the background. Use the same tried and trusted poses over and over (and over) again. It is repetitive, yes. But it does the job especially when time works against your favour. When you…

Pearle Weddings : Whistle Bear Golf Club | Shannon and Tom
“Tell me a story about Tom,” I asked his brother, who also happened to be one of his groomsmen. I had them all posed as I would a typical wedding party. There’s usually one outgoing person among them, and they’re the ones I rely on to make break the ice and get everyone comfortable in front of the camera. Complete with hand gestures, he replied, “Hey guys, remember when Tom dropped the ring?” Who wouldn’t laugh to that? Shannon and Tom’s ring exchange earlier that afternoon was an entertaining one indeed. When Tom tried to put the wedding band on Shannon, it slipped from his fingers somehow. What happened next…

Engagement Session in The Woods | Racheal and Reid
They met in South Korea. Racheal was an English teacher there when Reid came to visit his friend, who also happened to be a friend of hers. The first time Racheal saw Reid, she realised she was in trouble. For someone who felt that marriage was not in her stars, the universe certainly threw her a curve ball. Something about this American boy charmed her. Reid’s short visit in South Korea was just the start. They kept in touch and developed a long distance relationship. Eventually, Reid decided to move to Canada to be with Racheal. And the rest is….well, you know how it goes. I am featuring them in…

Update: Fitness Goals 2017 | Personal Story
It’s been a year already? WHAAAAAATTTT!!!! Yes, I know. Very typical of me to react this way. But seriously, where did the time go? Last year, I thought of three fitness goals that I felt the need to share with the Internet to make me accountable, and to “send it out to the Universe” as they say. I’m happy to say, in terms of physical fitness, I made quite a progress this year. 1.) Running Consistently I consider myself a runner again! I’ve been good at running at least three times a week for the last year and I’m so glad I have rekindled my love for it. I just put…

Rustic Wedding in Waterloo Region | Melissa and Cory
Have you ever been to a wedding where a groom made the bridesmaids cry? You bet I have! In a good way of course. (Gotya!) Melissa and Cory’s rustic wedding in Waterloo Region was one of the most memorable weddings I have had the privilege to have shot. So many moments for me to photograph! Take for example their First Look at Melissa’s family property. Seeing them embrace each other tightly when Cory turned around to see Melissa was genuinely sweet. Another favourite moment for me was our road trip with the rest of their wedding party to Rockwood Conservation Area. We all managed to fit in a van, and…
