Eastern Caribbean Aboard The Norwegian Epic: Personal Story | Canadian Destination Photographer
Early last month, my husband and I embarked on NCL’s largest cruise ship aptly called, The Epic. This was our fourth time cruising with NCL and we were both curious to find out what all the hype about The Epic was. Our previous experiences with NCL had been great — minus the food at the Norwegian Jade (not great) — so we were really looking forward to this trip. Embarkation Flying from Toronto to Miami, The Epic’s port of call, was not a problem. We usually fly WestJet and they always have numerous flights daily there. One thing I like about flying WestJet is that your first baggage is free…

Mediterranean Trip, 2011 | Personal Story
Yesterday I posted a sneak preview on our recent vacation. And if you guessed Santorini, then you are absolutely right! My husband and I just came back from our week long Mediterranean cruise trip aboard the Norwegian Jade. We spent a night in Venice, Italy before boarding the ship, then sailed to Corfu, Santorini, Mykonos, and Katakolon, Greece. It was awesome. A few helpful travel info I‘d like to share : 1. I enjoyed that very much, with all the exotic plants and fragrant tropical fruits that delighted our taste buds. But because of the heat (we were inside a rainforest after all) it wasn’t really Lance’s idea of fun. And since then, the mention of the word “hike” to my husband provokes him to question my sanity. So, for my Roatan adventure, I…

Western Caribbean Cruise, 2011 | Part 1 | Personal Story
Day 1: New Orleans We arrived in New Orleans on a Sunday morning just in time to board the NCL’s Norwegian Spirit later that afternoon. Stepping off the plane, we were immediately greeted the warm, humid air. A huge difference in climate considering we left Toronto at -15 C. Getting a cab from Louis Armstrong International Airport was easy and inexpensive. The total cost from the airport to downtown New Orleans was a flat rate of $33.Right after we claimed our bags, we quickly managed to hop into one.The cab was a Lincoln Town Car from the mid-80’s. A car full of character, I must add. It even had silver…

Cruising: a lifestyle that involves living for extended time on a boat while traveling from place to place for pleasure. Cruising generally refers to trips of a few days or more, and can extend to round-the-world voyages. — Wikipedia Lance and I just got back from our Western Caribbean Cruise with Norwegian Cruise Line and I have to tell you, it was amazing!
