Stratford Engagement Session | Amanda and Rory

“He punched the guy I was dancing with and we were together ever since,” Amanda said at our first consult. I had just asked her how she and Rory started dating. Her answer by far was the most intriguing.

Amanda and Rory started out as friends. They were roommates living in a house with other people back in college. Amanda’s warm personality and infectious laugh easily makes her one of the most charming person you’ll ever meet. It wasn’t hard for Rory to fall for her.

Their friendship may have helped them to get to know each other but also put Rory in an awkward spot — he’s in the “friend zone”.  We all know what that is. We all know how complicated it could get. If he was going to pursue his feelings, he would have to go about it carefully.

Rory liked Amanda. But she didn’t know. At least that’s how it was for some time. It wasn’t until one fateful night when they, among with their other roommates, went out to a bar for some fun. As they mingled with other people, Rory saw another guy with Amanda . They were dancing together. That made him realize that he wan’t going to sit it out and pass his chance to be with her. He wasn’t going to wait for the right time no more to tell her. She had to know. She had to know now!

Boom!

Next thing Amanda knew, the guy she was dancing with just seconds ago was down on the floor. She felt Rory’s hand on hers as he lead her away from the crowd. Rory poured his heart out. She fell for him too. And they’ve been together ever since.
