Toronto Zoo Engagement Session | Abra and Kevin
Fact: I’ve never been to Toronto Zoo before Abra and Kevin told me they wanted to have a Toronto Zoo engagement session. You see, Abra and Kevin are patron of the Toronto Zoo. They love visiting the place and so it made sense to them to have their engagement session done there. Which in the middle of winter turned out to be a great idea! Why you ask? The Toronto Zoo have several pavilions that feature tropical plants from all over the world. Pretty cool I’d say. And the best part of it especially in the winter time is that it’s quite warm inside. You won’t have to worry about…

St James Park Engagement Session
Looking through Farwah and Herman’s St James Park engagement session, you would never think that we shot this early in March. In Toronto. Canada. The temperature that day was in the double digits and the sunshine helped warm us up even more. Definitely not your typical Canadian winter for sure. The first time I met with Farwah and Herman and asked how they met, they asked me if I was familiar with Friends. Um, heck yeah! As it turned out, their story was similar to Chandler and Monica. They started out as friends, annoyed each other often, but eventually fell in love. I remember them laughing and joking to each…

Snyder’s Flats Engagement Session | Melissa and Cory
When I asked Melissa and Cory where they would like to have their engagement session done, one of the places they mentioned was Snyder’s Flats in Bloomingdale, Ontario. They both love the outdoors and Snyder’s Flats is one of the areas in Kitchener-Waterloo that they frequently visit. The idyllic river scenery, the cute puppies you meet on the trail (it’s a popular area for dog walking). What’s not to love? Melissa is also an accomplished wedding photographer. I know she has a great eye so I definitely looked forward to seeing Snyder’s Flats myself and photographing their engagement session. Our day started at the trail right beside Grey Silo in Waterloo.…

Downtown Burlington Engagement Session | Shannon And Tom
Why did Shannon and Tom chose to do a Downtown Burlington engagement session? It’s simple. That’s where Tom proposed. One wintry evening after having dinner at a restaurant nearby, Tom took Shannon to Brant Street Pier for a short stroll. And when they reached the end of the pier, he finally popped the question. Shannon said yes. My memories of Burlington consist of my friends and I driving up to Joe Dog’s from Mississauga to stalk a local band. It’s a charming little area just by the lake, with charming little stores that you can visit. But as a photographer, I love how the lightly coloured low rise buildings allow…

Woodland Themed Wedding At Holland Marsh Wineries
I have a mild obsession with trees. Odd, considering I’m an urban girl at heart. But pretty trees do inspire me a lot. When I’m asked to recommend spots to couples who are looking for natural scenes, I choose locations based on what type of trees grow there at that particular time of the year. For example, in the spring, I prefer magnolia trees. In the summer, willow trees. Nothing can outshine sugar maple trees for me in the fall. But my favourite tree anytime of the year? Birch trees. I love the stark and graphic look of a forest of birch trees. And finding a bunch of birch trees…
