Guelph Fall Engagement Photos | Maegan and Shaun
“If God told you he could grant Maegan one superpower, what would you want God to give her?” I asked Shaun as I hovered above them clinging on to a couple of branches of a maple tree at The Aboretum in Guelph. Shaun hugged Maegan from behind and answered without blinking, ” The ability to fly. So I can just jump on her back and we can go anywhere we want.” I’ve asked that question at every single engagement session I’ve shot. Shaun’s answer was the one that made me laugh out loud. That’s just the gist of my short time with them. Maegan and Shaun both had a great…

Cosette and Chris | Engagement Session With Dogs
I’ve said it again and again, animal loving people are my kind of people. I have two fur babies of my own so I totally understand when couples ask to have their engagement session with dogs or cats they love. Because, c’mon now. Who does not find pet photos adorable? Unless you’ve been mauled by a dog, attacked by a cat, or just plain allergic to them both, you have no excuse to hate these lovable creatures. When Cosette first touched base with me, she mentioned right away that she and Chris have three dogs. All three of them under the age of two. They wanted a photographer who had…

Waterstone Estate and Farm Fall Wedding | Laura and James
Speeches. Wedding speeches in particular. It’s the best part of the wedding reception if you ask me. You get to hear stories about the bride and groom you might not have known otherwise. Most speeches are entertaining. The really good ones are laugh out loud hilarious. But the best ones are endearing. Speeches show a glimpse of the kind of relationships the speakers have with the couple. Take Richard’s speech for example. He was Laura and James’ best man at his wedding at Waterstone Estate and Farm. Richard told the story of when he first met Laura. You see, Richard had a sick tree in their backyard he’d like to…

Engagement Photos in Unionville | Jennifer and Chris
Unionville is a suburban village in the heart of Markham, Ontario famous for its undeniable small town charm. I’ve heard of this area before, though I’ve never had the chance to explore the place. It wasn’t until Jennifer and Chris chose Unionville as the location for their engagement photo shoot that I saw it for myself. As pretty as Unionville is as a location for engagement photos, it does have its own drawbacks. Unless you schedule the shoot early in the morning (preferably at sunrise for the best light), you’ll have to deal with a lot of people being in and out of your photographer’s frame. Unionville after all, is…

Wedding at THEMUSEUM | Kayla and Nick
At Kayla and Nick’s wedding at THEMUSEUM in Kitchener, Nick’s mother told the story of how she and her husband first met Kayla. Kayla was the first girlfriend Nick ever brought home for them to meet. That’s how they first knew. She was special. That day finally came. Upon entering their home, Kayla immediately picked up their family cat and befriended him right away. She had a soft spot for animals, and this shared love earned her major brownie points for Nick’s mom. They had dinner, got to know her more. And when Nick and Kayla left their house, his parents stood by the window and watched them until they…
